Biography

Hunter Holt is a doctoral student in Social Foundations of Education program working under Professor Derrick Alridge.

Hunter's research interests include rural education in the South and connections between economic expansion, gentrification and schooling. Before moving to Virginia, he worked as the program coordinator for the Mississippi Teacher Corps and taught high school science in West Point, Mississippi. He holds a Master of Arts degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of Mississippi and a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Alabama.
